Thirty-five years in education will take you places you never expected. I've been fortunate to experience nearly all of them. I began as a middle school science teacher. Then I became an elementary classroom teacher, discovering along the way that curiosity is the same at every age—it just needs the right environment to thrive. From the classroom, I moved into school leadership as the elementary principal of the school where I taught and then into district-level roles overseeing multiple programs, including multilingual learner services, parent engagement, and migrant education. Today I serve as a state-level regional leader with Migrant Education Region 2—the largest migrant education region in California.

What has always driven me is a simple conviction: education doesn't stand still, and neither should educators. Every role I've held, every community I've served, every student and family I've worked alongside has reinforced that for me. Level Up Learning Napa Valley is the natural extension of that belief—a way of bringing everything I've learned to the students, families, and schools of the community I call home and beyond. It has been an honor to be part of the last 35 years in education. I'm excited about what lies ahead, and I'd love to help you get there.
